比赛简章

 
1.宗旨~
1.1培养中学生对歌唱与音乐的兴趣并训练他们的音乐创作能力。
1.2增加中学生的舞台呈献知识和经验,并提升他们的自信心与表达能力。
1.3通过歌艺上的切磋琢磨促进各校学生之间的友谊交流。

2.比赛项目~ 两项比赛分开进行,均可使用华语或英语歌曲参赛。
(A)歌曲创作组~由参赛者自己作曲与填词,并将作品通过乐队呈献出来。
(B)乐队演唱组~参赛者自由选择任何符合赛规歌曲,并以乐队演唱方式演绎。

3.参赛资格~
3.1公开给在籍中学生至大学先修班学生(初中一至A-LEVEL或STPM学生)参加,亦接受在一支队伍中,占有少数之小学生参加。
3.2凡曾在Youth Got Talent历届歌赛夺得冠军之主唱、作词与作曲者,将不得再以同样角色参加该项比赛;而曾在本赛会夺得冠军之乐队成员,亦不得再以同一支队伍参赛,唯可以参与其他乐队(成员至少一半为非冠军队成员)参赛。
3.3凡在参赛资格上可能出现之疑问,须以主办局之决定为最后决定。

 
4.截止日期~ 6月12日(星期六)呈交参赛表格、报名费、歌词、歌曲创作组录音

5.比赛日期~ 初赛
- 歌曲创作组:6月25日(星期五)晚上7时正(半小时之前报到)
- 乐队演唱组:6月26日 (星期六) 晚上7时正(半小时之前报到)


决赛- 7月10日(星期六)晚上7时30分(半小时之前报到)
出场次序- 初赛由主办局代为抽签,决赛则由参赛者抽签。
 
6.初赛试音
- 歌曲创作组6月24日(星期四)晚上7时30分
- 乐队演唱组6月25日(星期五)下午2时正


决赛彩排~ 7月9日(星期五)晚上7时30分(半小时之前报到)
 
7.比赛地点~ 加略山综合楼(包括试音/初赛/彩排/决赛)
 
8.报名费~ 歌曲创作组:每队RM30.00;乐队演唱组:每队RM50.00

10.奖励方式~凡进入决赛之每名参赛者均得证书一张。另优胜者将获以下奖励金,所有奖金将由斗湖雅马哈音乐学院赞助:

歌曲创作组:1.创作奖三名~ 冠军RM250,亚军RM200,季军RM150
2.呈献奖三名~ 冠军RM250,亚军RM150,季军RM100

乐队演唱组:冠军RM500,亚军RM300,季军RM200;优异奖四名,每名RM100

 

11.门票~ 初赛-RM10.00;决赛- 特别位RM20,普通位RM10。
 
12.本简章若有未尽善之处,或任何未有明文规定之事宜,主办当局有权增删之。



比赛细则
 
1. 参赛方式:自由组合,不分学校,并须拥有自己组合的名称。每支队伍需至少三位乐手,唯整支队伍不得超过七人。参赛者可同时参加两项比赛,但在同一项比赛中,参赛者不得重复出现在其他队伍。
 
2. 参赛者仪容与衣着:根据歌曲演绎方式自由衣着,唯必须整齐端庄,不得有伤风化。
 
3. 音响与灯光:所有参赛队伍必须使用主办单位所供应之音响器材(参考参赛表格中之基本布置图),不得另外加配。主办单位将供应五个乐器用之连接线和四个无线麦克风。灯光调控将由主办局负责,不接受任何要求。

4. 乐器的使用:任何乐器均可使用,唯需自备。为了减少舞台摆设的困难,主办单位将供应键盘两座及鼓一副。
 
5. 词曲内容:
5.1自由取材,唯不得含负面或消极内容,且不可涉及爱情、宗教、政治等敏感课题。
参加乐队演唱组者可修改原有歌词以符合赛规。
5.2参赛队伍在呈交参赛表格及报名费时,请附上歌词,且需以电脑14号字打印,列明歌名、选项和队伍。
5.3从初赛到决赛不得临时更换歌曲,但进入决赛者可按需要在原有歌曲上稍作调整,并最迟需在7月3日(星期一)将调整资料交上。
5.4参加歌曲创作组特别需知:
作品必须属于自己之原创,不得有任何段落、局部或全部之抄袭。若发现违规,参赛资格将被取消,纵使得奖之后被揭发,主办单位亦有权收回所得奖项。
创作歌曲需灌录成光碟,与参赛表格同时交上。有关录音只需主要乐器演奏,若有需要,请联络雅马哈音乐学院以便安排录音时间。
主办局有权使用作品收录作纪念专辑与宣传之用,但作品版权归创作者所有。

 
6. 演出时限:每首歌曲呈献之时限为4分钟,从乐器或歌手发出任何声音开始计时 。在步入舞台后,参赛者只给予一分钟半的预备时间,超时将扣分(任何偶发技术问题则例外)。参赛者将不被告知关于该队伍的呈献已超时。
 
7. 评分标准:
歌曲创作组:作词、作曲、和弦、编曲、呈献~ 每项占10%
乐队演唱组:默契、准备、呈献、技巧、内容~ 每项占10%
纪律分数:从注册参加、试音、预赛、彩排到决赛过程中,每位参赛者守时、守律、遵守赛规、友爱、礼貌等品行和态度~10%
评审团之决定将是最后之决定,参赛者对评审结果不得有任何异议。

8. 彩排:所有进入决赛之队伍必须出席7月9日晚上之彩排,缺席者将当弃权论。
 
9. 身份审核:为了确保比赛的公正和参赛者的资格符合章程,主办当局规定所有参赛队员于赛前半小时报到,并携带身份证以便主办当局审核。
 
10. 主办局有权对不遵守赛规或不符赛程者之参赛资格作出判决,任何质询恕不受理。



Competition Regulations

1. Objectives -
1.1 To promote the interest of students toward singing and music, and to train their song-writing abilities.
1.2 To let the students gain knowledge and experience in stage performance and to build their self-confidence and ability in presentation.
1.3 To promote friendship and fellowship among students from different schools through music activities.

2. Categories - Contestants can compete in both of the below two categories with a different song in either Chinese or English.
(A) Songwriting Competition: Participant(s) shall use music and song that are composed and written by the Participant(s), to be performed by a band.
(B)  Band Competition: Participating band is free to choose any song in accordance with the Competition Rules to perform.

3. Qualification of Participants
- Open to all secondary school students (Form 1 to STPM or A-Level).  The Organiser shall accept a team mixed with a small number of primary school participant(s).  The champion teams’ vocalist(s), lyricist(s), and composer(s) from the previous year are not allowed to participate in the same role as the previous year.  The musicians of the champion teams are not allowed to participate as the same band as the previous year, but are allowed to join other bands (at least half of the musicians of such bands shall not be from a champion team).

4. Closing Date - All entry forms with relevant fees, together with lyrics, and recording (Songwriting category only) must be submitted to the Registration Centres no later than 12 June 2010 (Saturday).

5. Competition Dates - Preliminary
- Songwriting: 25 June 2010 (Friday) at 7pm sharp;
- Band: 26 June 2010 (Saturday) at 7pm sharp;


Finals: 10 July 2010 (Saturday) at 7:30pm.
*Participants must report 30 minutes earlier before the above times
Order of performance: The Organiser will draw lots to determine the order of performance for the Preliminary.
The finalists will draw lots for themselves to determine the order of performance for the Finals.

6. Preliminary Sound Test
- Songwriting: 24 June 2010 (Thursday) at 7:30pm.
- Band: 25 June 2010 (Friday) at 2pm.

- Finals Rehearsal - 9 July 2010 (Friday) at 7:30pm (Finalists are to standby 30 minutes early)

7. Venue of Competition - Dewan Calvary, Jalan Datuk Chong Thien Vun, Tawau
(Same for Sound Tests, Preliminary Rounds, Rehearsal & Finals).

8. Participation Fees
- Songwriting Competition: RM30.00 per team,
- Band Competition: RM50.00 per band.

9. Registration Centres - Powered Youth (Tel: 776589) or Tawau Music Centre Sdn. Bhd. (Tel: 773577)

10. Prizes - Certificate of Participation for all finalists, and cash prizes for winners sponsored by Tawau Music Centre Sdn. Bhd.
(A) Songwriting Competition
Songwriter: Champion: RM250, Runner-Up: RM200, 2nd Runner-Up: RM150;
Best Presentation Team: Champion RM250, Runner-Up RM150, 2nd Runner-Up: RM100.
(B) Band Competition
Champion: RM500, Runner-Up RM300, 2nd Runner-Up RM200, Outstanding x4 RM100 Each

11. Tickets - Preliminary Round RM10.00; Finals: Special RM20, Standard RM10. 

12. Regulations & Rules - The Organiser reserves the right to add or make amendments to this Regulations & Rules and may decide on any issue that this Regulations & Rules are silent or on any doubt in this Regulations & Rules for purpose that the competitions shall be fair and be organised in the best possible manner.  Any decision of the Organiser shall be final and not appealable to any authority of law.
 


Competition Rules

1. Participation:  This competition is not an interschool event; participants can freely form their teams/bands with students from different high schools.  Each team/band shall have its own name and shall have a minimum of three and maximum of seven participants.  Participants may compete in both categories, but shall not join more than 1 team or band in the same category.

2. Dress Code and Appearance:  Participants can wear attires that are appropriate for their songs, but the attires may not be too bodily exposed and be deemed to be inappropriate for secondary school students.  Any participating team with any member violating this Dress Code may be disqualified or be disallowed to perform.

3. Sound System & Lighting Setup: The Organiser shall provide 5 instrument cables and 4 wireless mics.  All participants must use the setup as provided by the Organiser (please refer to the basic setup diagram), and cannot add-on.  The Organiser shall not entertain any request for lighting arrangement/setup.

4. Musical Instruments:  In order to lessen the difficulty and time for stage setup, the Organiser shall provide a drum set and two keyboards.  Participants may use any other musical instruments of their choice.

5. Contents of Song:
5.1  Free choice of song, but the contents shall not be about love of opposite sex, religion, politics or other sensitive issues or contain negative elements.  Participants are allowed to change the lyrics to adhere to this rule.
5.2  Participants shall submit the lyrics of their songs (with song title and the related category)  together with their entry forms and fees.  The lyrics is to be typed with font size 14.
5.3  After the entry submission, no change shall be made to the song selection for both preliminary round and finals.  For the finals, amendments to the lyrics can be made according to requirements, and must be submitted latest by 3 July 2010 (Saturday).
5.4  Special notice for Songwriting Category:
- The song must be an original composition; no part of the song may be copied from other’s song.  If the entry song is discovered to have breached this Rule, the participant shall be disqualified, and the Organiser reserves the right to revoke and recover any prize won if the discovery was made after the competition was closed.
- All entries must be recorded into a CD to be submitted with the entry form.  The recording only needs to have the main instrument(s).  If needed by a participant, participant can contact Tawau Music Centre Sdn Bhd to assist in the recording.
- The Organiser shall have the rights to use any song entered in the competition for promotion and publicity use (but not for commercial sale purpose), the copyright of the song will remain the songwriter(s).

6. Time Limit of Performance: Each song performance is limited to 4 minutes, beginning from the start of music or singing.  Upon stepping onto the stage, each team is given 1 minute and 30 seconds to prepare, points will be deducted for any excess time taken (except for any special technicalities). Participants will not be notified of any overtime during the competition performance.

7. Judging Criteria:
- Songwriting: Lyrics, Melody, Chord Progression, Arrangement, and Performance - each 10 points.
- Band: Camaraderie, Preparedness, Presentation, Technique, Content - each 10 points.
- Discipline points: From registration, sound test, preliminary, rehearsal, to the finals, each participant’s punctuality, discipline, rule-abiding, friendliness, manners, and attitude - 10 points.
- The judges’ decisions are final, no complain shall be entertained.

8. Rehearsal: All finalists must attend rehearsal on 9 July 2010.  Those absent will result in disqualification.

9. Reporting to Organiser: To ensure fairness and for checking the identity of participants, the Organiser requires all participants to report half an hour before the competition, and to bring their NRIC for verification.

10. The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify anyone found to be in violation of the rules of the competition, no appeal shall be entertained.
